VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Bring new life to a creek in your neighborhood!
Join us for a planting day on the Altamont Creek in Livermore (Bluebell Drive at Shire Court, Springtown neighborhood). We’re planting several hundred native plants and we need your help!
The plants—all locally-adapted native species grown from local seed—will improve this section of creek on many levels! Not only will they beautify the creek and enhance habitat, but they will also improve water quality by preventing streambank erosion.
Adults, youth, and groups are welcome!
Register on Eventbrite: http://www.eventbrite.com/e/altamont-creek-volunteer-workday-tickets-15508149292
Water, coffee, and snacks will be provided.
Plan for an invigorating day of planting in the dirt. We recommend work clothes, sturdy closed-toe shoes, and a sun hat. A refillable water bottle is also a good idea.
We will have work gloves and hand tools available on site.
Plan to arrive early so we can start promptly at 9:00AM!
All volunteers must complete a liability waiver form; parent/guardian signature required for volunteers under 18. Download the form by clicking on “download agenda” at the bottom of this page.
